Don’t Miss Race Across America Movies, November 9

If you like bicycling, you’ll really like this one-time-only opportunity to see a couple of documentaries about the Race Across America (RAAM) showing at the Capitol Theater, 1390 W 65th St, Cleveland 44102, on Wednesday, November 9, 7 p.m.  RAAM is widely recognized as the toughest race in the world. It’s a 3,000-mile coast-to-coast bicycle race that starts in Oceanside, CA, and finishes in Annapolis, MD.  First run in 1982, the race has continued annually, uninterrupted.  The 2016 race was the 35th year, making it one of the longest running events in cycling sports. Racers and crew come from around the world to compete.

There will be two films.  First up will be “Ram Bam Thank You Mam,” about an Australian four-woman team that set their age group record.  Next is “3089 miles across America,” which will give you a good view of what bicyclists see on this ride – a beautiful view of America. A representative of RAAM will be present to answer questions.
