Cycling Movie on Monday, Feb. 15, Benefits Veterans

Buy tickets now, before it’s too late, to view the cycling documentary, Recovering, showing at Cedar Lee Theater on Monday, February 15, at 7:00 p.m.  You’ll learn about Veterans using sports to heal from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI), and to adapt to physical challenges due to injury.

In the film, veterans speak openly about their struggles overcoming PTSD, physical wounds and rehabilitation, and thoughts of suicide. The film is a chance for all of us to learn more about those who have served our Nation and erase the stigma of war wounds, seen and unseen.

Proceeds of this event will support Team RWB’s ongoing mission to enrich the lives of America’s Veterans by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity. A portion of the proceeds will go to expand Ride2Recovery in Ohio.

The one-hour documentary will be followed by a panel discussion of local Veterans, Team RWB Members, Ride2Recovery members and the film’s Director, Michael de Yoanna. EVERY sale includes a Post-Event Social. There will be raffle prizes from local businesses and Team RWB.  Brimstone Bicycles in Canal Fulton, Ohio has donated a road bicycle, worth up to $1,300, to the raffle.

This event is sponsored by Hirobel Cycling Components (also a benefactor of Heights Bicycle Coalition), Team RWB, Become Films, Ride2Recovery and Local Supporters.
